Meadow Makers

  • Berkeley County Landfill 111 Landfill Drive Martinsburg, WV, 25405 United States (map)

Join us for a fun, family-friendly volunteer event as we plant native plants and help bring new life to our latest Making Trash Bloom site!

We’ll be gathering at the entrance to the Berkeley County Landfill / Recycling Center on Saturday, June 13, from 9:00–11:00 am. This event is all about building excitement and raising awareness for the future landfill meadow—a space that will soon be transformed with vibrant native plants.

Volunteers will assist with laying cardboard and mulch, followed by planting native species that support local ecosystems.

Please come dressed for outdoor work and getting a little dirty—we recommend sturdy shoes, comfortable clothing, and sun protection.
