Help rescue native plants from a native meadow slated to be scraped for a data center! We’ll give the plants and seeds a new home in native meadows across Virginia and West Virginia—or even in your own yard.
Join us on Saturday, June 6 at 10am in Bristow, Virginia and then transport the plants to our Making Trash Bloom sites at the Rappahannock County Landfill near Warrenton in Virginia and the Berkeley County Landfill near Martinsburg, West Virginia and to our Making History Bloom sites in Ashburn, Virginia. We’ll work out who goes where, depending on what’s most convenient for you!
We need volunteers with vehicles, shovels, plant buckets of all sizes, and a love of native plants to join us. Together, we’ll preserve valuable species and ensure they're able to continue to support pollinators and biodiversity.
