Winter Tree ID Walk & Holiday Potluck

  • State Arboretum of Virginia 400 Blandy Farm Lane Boyce, VA, 22620 United States (map)

They all look the same without their leaves, don't they? Join Sustainability Matters and the State Arboretum of Virginia (Blandy) for an approximately 90-minute guided walk and tree ID primer by Virginia State Foresters Matt Wolanski and Connor Goolsby and Blandy curator Carrie Whitacre. You'll never again mistake an oak for a walnut or a spruce for a fir!

A holiday-themed potluck and social hour with fellow nature nerds will follow the walk. Please bring a snack or dessert to share!

Attendance is limited to 25, and previous years' walks filled up far in advance. Get your tickets soon if you want to come!

Accessibility information: The walk will cover approximately 1/2 mile or less, on lawn and mulch paths. If you have any questions about accessibility, please contact us at hello@sustainabilitymatters.earth!

Pricing: $15 per person for Sustainability Matters or Foundation of the State Arboretum members. $20 per person for non-members.
