Science Team Saturday at Fairfax I-66 Landfill

  • I-66 Landfill 4618 West Ox Road Fairfax, VA, 22030 United States (map)

As the native meadow season creeps to a close, we want to take one last opportunity to collect data at our newest Making Trash Bloom site. The more help we have, the more data we can collect! Come and join Hannah Bement and volunteers from George Mason University to see what grew this summer at the Fairfax I-66 Landfill site.

The morning will start with a training - no experience necessary. Ability to walk and bend on hilly terrain a must. Wear long pants and sturdy shoes. Use of a smart phone with free iNaturalist app required.

Registration Required: email hannah@sustainabilitymatters.earth with Science Team in the subject line to receive details about where to meet.
