Join the Sperryville Community Alliance, Sustainability Matters, and Wild Roots Apothecary for the inaugural Rappahannock Butterfly Parade on Saturday, August 29, at 10 a.m. Celebrate the beauty of nature with a day of creativity, community, and fun for all ages!

We’ll gather in the historic River District at 3 River Lane, where we'll kick off the celebration with a Pollinator Parade at 10:30 a.m, with wing-crafting at 10am. Stroll along the Sperryville Trail as we honor the native plants and pollinators that make our landscapes vibrant and alive. Come dressed as your favorite part of the natural world—we welcome butterflies, bees, bats, hummingbirds, flowers, mighty oak trees, or simply your wonderful self or stop by and create your own pair of butterfly wings.

Thanks to generous support from the PATH Foundation, you'll find free, family-friendly activities throughout the River District all day long. Bring the whole family and join us for a joyful celebration of the pollinators and plants that help our community thrive!
