coneflowers and bee balm in a field

native plants to choose from

by Priya Kommu

There are so many choices,
False indigo, black-eyed susan, and milkweed too,
Listen as your garden rejoices,
When you plant butterfly weed, purple coneflower, and wild bergamot, to name a few.

Different properties each one has,
To attract bees or aid the ill,
They still smell good and all that jazz,
Some lure butterflies, which is quite the thrill.

So many varieties; what to do,
Better try them all and see what works for you!
