Gather seeds and rescue native plants from a wildflower meadow slated to be scraped for a data center. This is probably our last chance! We’ll give the plants and seeds a new home in our native meadows in Virginia – or in your yard!
Join us on Sunday, October 4 from 1pm and 4pm at the data center site in Bristow, Virginia. You can bring as many native plants as you can dig back home. We also need help to fill a big truck with native plants that we'll plant on October 12 at Claude Moore Park in Sterling.
If you have them, please bring shovels and plant buckets of all sizes. We’ll provide small paper bags for the native seeds. Together, we’ll preserve valuable species and ensure they're able to continue to support pollinators and biodiversity.
