We have the opportunity to save native plants from a meadow that’s slated for development and give them a new home in our Making Trash Bloom meadows. The property owner has
generously given us the chance to rehome as many plants as possible before construction begins.
We will be removing plants from a site in Bristow and moving them to their new home at the
Rappahannock County Landfill.
But we can’t do it alone! We need volunteers with vehicles, shovels, and a love of nature
to help us dig and transport the rescued native plants to their new home. Together, we’ll
preserve valuable species and ensure they're able to continue to support pollinators and
biodiversity for years to come.
And an extra bonus: you're welcome to take some of the rescued plants home too!
