The worst invasive insect in 150 years has been colonizing Pennsylvania and Virginia for several years now, threatening crops, trees, and - with swarms of insects excreting buckets of sticky honeydew - human quality of life. Now, the polka-dotted invader is in New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, Delaware, and New York, poised to take a very viscous bite out of the Big Apple.
