The Board and staff of Sustainability Matters are thrilled to share that Andrea McGimsey will join us as our Executive Director beginning January 2! Andrea comes to us with more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience and a lifetime of hiking, camping, and enjoying nature throughout Virginia. She has led several nonprofit organizations dedicated to conservation, historic preservation, and climate solutions, and also served as a member of Loudoun County’s Board of Supervisors. We’re excited about how Andrea’s environmental, nonprofit, and government experience will help us strengthen our existing programs and identify new opportunities to fulfill our mission. And, naturally, we knew Andrea would be a great fit when our initial Zoom meetings were filled with laughter and the unexpected appearance of housecats! We look forward to opportunities for you to meet Andrea in the coming year! With excitement,
