Celebrate World Environment Day with us!

Celebrate World Environment Day with an evening walk or bike ride along the W&OD Trail! We'll learn about why native plants are so important to our native wildlife – and all of us.

Please invite your friends and neighbors. We'll meet on Wednesday, June 5th at the Herndon Depot and leave promptly at 5:30pm. 

Registration is required, so we know how many people to plan for. Please dress appropriately to be outdoors and bring your water bottle. The bike ride will be roughly 2 miles round trip, and the walk will be 1/4 mile.

Celebrate National Trails Day with us!

We’re excited to join NOVA Parks, Friends of the W&OD, and Arlington County to celebrate National Trails Day on June 1! Join us at 10am as we lead an Invasive & Wildflower Identification Walk for a quarter mile from Mile 0 Trailhead in Shirlington. People of all ages and abilities are welcome.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help us table on June 1 and on June 5 to help engage more people in fun and sustainability! Please send us a note at hello@sustainabilitymatters.earth if you’re interested.
